A fire caused extensive damage to a car in the heart of Chorleywood this afternoon.
A silver estate car was “well alight” when firefighters arrived in Lower Road just after 4pm this afternoon.
The blaze took just over 15 minutes to extinguish and two firefighters had to use breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.
The tyres melted during the blaze and sections of the front of the car had also crumbled away.
The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
