Bovingdon was in full bloom when the village Horticultural Society held its annual Spring Show at the weekend.
Memorial Hall, in the High Street, was brimming with bright yellow daffodils on Saturday and the scene was in stark contrast to that of 12 months ago, when the dry winter meant the seasonal flowers were noticeable for their absence.
Ron Smith, show secretary, said: "We were very pleased with the number of daffodils after the previous year's were wiped out with the weather. We had a very good display and a high standard of entries which gave the judges a hard time."
Brian Stewart from Amersham dominated the flower section, winning 24 of 34 categories for his daffodils, triandrus, tazettas and split coronas.
