YOUNGSTERS in Dacorum can choose between football sessions and a water play park as the borough council looks to spend more than £250,000 on children's activities.

The council was given £273,694.87 by the Big Lottery Fund and after a consultation in October, young people revealed ten areas of activity they would like to do in their spare time.

Now the council is asking for them to be ranked in order of preference.

The results of the survey will influence how the money is spent.

Jane Woodbridge, Children's Services manager, said: "We would like to hear from as many children and young people as possible.

"This funding is set aside for facilities that are free and accessible to all children and young people in Dacorum.

"We need to make sure that the right activities and facilities are provided in Dacorum."

To take part, visit www.dacorum.gov.uk and select 'Do It Online' to complete a survey or print out the form. For a copy of the questionnaire, telephone 01442 228622. The closing date is Friday, April 13.
