Former Queens' School pupil Tom Crouch is currently serving in Afghanistan. His father Peter has spoken about what it is like to have a son serving in Afghanistan.
Tom, 21, has been stationed in the Helmand province, in southern Afghanistan, for the past six months.
Over the past five years 52 British personnel have died in Afghanistan, and more than 350 troops have been badly injured - most in the volatile south.
Peter spends at least an hour a day on the internet monitoring the situation in Afghanistan and exchanging information with other families.
He said: "The only thing I ever think about is, is he safe? And is he coming home in one piece?"
Tom still lives with his family in Little Bushey Lane, when he is back in the country.
