WATFORD is unlikely to be getting talking CCTV cameras intended to tackle anti-social behaviour in the near future.
This week the Government announced it would be rolling out the system to other areas of the country following a successful trial in Middlesborough.
This week, Watford Mayor Dorothy Thornhill revealed she was sceptical about the system's impact on the public.
She described the scheme as gimmicky.
She said: "I think in the long term people will become hostile to it."
