ENERGETIC volunteers are needed to help staff at the British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop in Watford.
The store at 51 The Parade has launched an appeal for volunteers to spare a few hours a week to help collect and sort donations from the general public.
BHF Shops rely on donations of good quality clothes, shoes, books, CDs, accessories and bric-a-brac. It requires the help of volunteer drivers to collect these donations from people in the community, who are unable to bring them into the shop themselves.
Volunteers are also needed to help move and sort stock, who will be keen to get stuck in and help transfer the generous stock donations from the shop floor to the stock room. If you are fit and strong and have time to spare, we promise a great team atmosphere and some fun along the way.
Area manager, Sarah Marshall, said; "Most people know someone affected by heart disease and by joining the team of BHF Shop volunteers you'll be helping to beat heart disease. Without the help from local volunteers BHF Shops would not be able to raise the staggering £9.6 million that they do every year.
"So if you have a few hours to spare each week and want to make a difference in your community, then pop in to see the shop manager at your local BHF Shop".
