HOSPITAL bosses want to reward staff members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust wants to hear about members of its staff, or medical teams, that have made an exceptional contribution to the trust.
The trust's annual Staff Awards for Excellence Scheme is designed to reflect the calibre of the teams and individuals who work tirelessly to provide the best possible patient care.
There are six award categories: Employee of the Month - a member of staff who is felt to have worked above and beyond the call of duty to deliver patient care. (Winners will be entered for the Employee of the Year).
Team of the Month - a team who have worked together to improve the experience of service users and colleagues. (Winners will be entered for the Team of the Year).
Patient Involvement - the team or individual who has worked to integrate patient involvement (annual award).
Improving Patient Care - a member of staff whose inspired or original thinking has led to improvements for patients (annual award).Unsung Hero - somebody who deserves an award for just being them! An individual who has shown consistent reliability and adaptability and deserves recognition (annual award).
Volunteer of the Year - a volunteer who has made an exceptional contribution or shown dedicated commitment to the Trust (annual award).
