Kiefer Sutherland took time out from saving the world in the television show 24 to visit Aldenham this week. 

Kiefer, who plays Jack Bauer in the American television 24, stopped in at the Toby Carvery in Aldenham on Sunday.

He has been busy filming scenes acorss London for 24: Live Another Day - which is set four years after season eight.

Waitress Laura Knight said: "He was friendly and enjoyed his meal. He had a carvery and a drink and left very happy."

There have been reports that the hit television series will film in Watford on June 1.
