House builder Kebbell Homes of Watford is marking 60 years in business.
Founded in 1953 by Thomas Kebbell, the family-run firm built many homes in Carpenders Park, including its own head office in Delta Gain.
Nicolas Kebbell, Managing Director at Kebbell Homes, said: "We are very proud to be celebrating this impressive milestone and are delighted that our homes are as popular as ever with home buyers."
Having completed a number of small local developments in the 1950s, Kebbell Homes expanded into the north-east during the 1960s, before creating two large developments in Hampshire and North Yorkshire in the 1970s.
During the 1980s and 1990s, the company evolved to operate in the more exclusive new homes sector, which remains its core business today.
Alongside its successful portfolio in England, Kebbell Homes has exported its luxury homes to France and the USA, building a number of properties in Le Touquet, St Aubin-sur-Mer, Lille and close to Versaille, as well as Houston, Texas.
Nicolas adds: "Kebbell Homes was established at a time when there was a desperate need for good quality family homes.
"Our first homes bear little resemblance to those we build today, although the first new homes were considered to be out of this world and included, amongst other innovative ideas, warm air central heating long before central heating caught on."
