John Bass "The Hairdresser" Beloved Dad, Grandad and Great Grandfather sadly died on Monday 21st August 2023, aged 90 years. Well known in Watford particularly for two salons at 4a then 52 Market Street, where he worked with his wife Mavis and a trusted team of his well-trained hairdressers. A gifted, creative, hard-working man, he was also a talented mentor and touched many people's lives from 1965 -2002. In 1988 he, Mavis and Stevie moved to Berkshire to be near the burgeoning grandchildren family, but continued hairdressing, commuting to Watford 3 times a week, on a mobile basis, as he refused to let his clients down. Funeral service will take place at Easthampstead Park Cemetery and Crematorium, South Road, Wokingham, Berkshire RG40 3DW at 3:30pm and later at Easthampstead Park Hotel, Off Peacock Lane, Wokingham, RG40 3DF from 4:30-7:00pm.
