WELLS Hilda May Alice Of The Brow, Woodside. Passed Away on the 4th April 2023, aged 102 years. Hilda's Funeral will take place at 12pm, at Leavesden All Saints Church in Horseshoe Lane, on the 4th of May 2023. Followed by Burial at North Watford Cemetery. Hilda led an active life and will be remembered by many people for the kindness and help she showed them over her long life. For her fostering of so many children both long and short term and overnight emergencies. Hilda joined the WAAFs at the outbreak of World War II. She helped with the setting up of Woodside Community Centre and was a life member. Also, The Woodside Residents & Tenants Association serving on committees for several years. She was also involved with the setting up of Watford Housing Association initially serving on the board & committees being the Police Liaison person for the local Police Force.
