In preparation for its shows at this year’s Imagine Watford festival, Tangled Feet Ensemble will be holding a workshop/masterclass for people who are interested in participating in physical theatre.

Tangled Feet is an ensemble of theatre practitioners committed to making original work. It is probably the most accessible and original physical theatre company working in the UK today. Tangled Feet Masterclass is at Watford Palace Theatre on July 1, 11am-1pm. Performances of Tangled Feet’s All That Is Solid Melts Into Air, today (Friday) at 6.30pm and 9.45pm, Saturday, June 30 at 2pm and 8pm and Sunday, July 1 at 2pm and 5pm.

In Inflation, Tangled Feet will perform on a bouncy castle, on which they will try to solve the recession (today, Friday).

Also at the festival: Do you remember the sweets you had as a child? The Knowledge Emporium, an old fashioned sweetshop, wants your recipe, story or poem in exchange for sweets.

Cascade Motionhouse, one of the UK’s favourite dance theatre companies performs a piece about a family’s struggle to keep their heads above water amid rising floodwaters.

Anyone for tea? Les Enfants Terribles Theatre Company invites you to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, in a frenetic fusion of Lewis Caroll’s classic with a unique twist.

Most performances are until July 1, unless otherwise stated. For a full programme of events, pick up a brochure from Watford Palace Theatre. l The Imagine Watford Festival runs until Sunday. Details: 01923 225671, participation@watfordpalacetheatre.co.uk, www.imaginewatford.co.uk
