Chivalry is not dead; Chipperfield Theatre Group will soon be demonstrating its courtly manners in its next production, Knight Fever – an Arthurian panto.
The show, directed by Wendy East, transports audiences to the fair kingdom of Camelot where Justin Thyme, a mere stable boy, has a burning ambition to become a Knight of the Round Table. Lester the Jester, court idiot to Camelot would gladly give up his jesting for a spot of jousting too.
It’s not long before the pair find the perfect opportunity to test their mettle against the wicked Black Knight and his sorceress sidekick, Chardonnay la Fay. Battles, blunders and pongy potions ensue, but can Justin save the day?
Expect the best of Arthurian legends with magic swords, mythical creatures and lots and lots of daft jokes, rousing songs and audience participation.
Knight Fever comes to Chipperfield Village Hall from Thursday, January 20 to Saturday, January 22. Details: 01442 832770, boxoffice@chipperfieldtheatregroup.com
