Sinister stories and terrific tales are on offer at Kings Langley Rudolf Steiner School next weekend as the venue hosts the inaugural Tell Tale Festival, organised by local storyteller Danya Miller, who will be performing, Kika’s Birthday.
Young audiences can also enjoy Theatre of Widdershins’ Arabian Nights, which uses puppets, masks and storytelling to share the tales of Sheherazade. Folding Feather will be demonstrating how to spin a good yarn using household objects in Suitcase Circus, while Jumping Mouse, reveals how music, song and puppets can be added into the mix.
Over-12s will not be disappointed either as Jamie Crawford unfolds the legend of King Arthur, Theatre Ad Infintum bring their one-man, one-hour version of The Odyssey and the school’s history teacher Mike Hadjipateras delves into the macabre world of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Tell Tale Heart.
The festival runs from September 24-25, from 4.15pm on Friday and all day Saturday at The Rudolf Steiner School, Langley Hill, Kings Langley. Details: 01923 260792
