The Barnfield Festival of Art will feature inspirational photographs and artwork from creative arts students as part of their ongoing college course work.
Among the students showcasing their work is Foundation Degree craft student Benjamin Matthews, plus Level 3 photographs from the fashion department, and the Level 1 pictures from the Foundation Learning Group.
There will also be films of the End of Year Fashion Show and a series of animation projects and music videos.
As well as being a real working salon, where students build and manage their own clientèle, the Harpenden Hair Training Academy is also Barnfield Federation’s first paperless site – high-achieving students work with laptops and are taught with interactive whiteboards rather than the traditional pen and paper.
Faculty director Mike La-Traille says: “The work on show is a snapshot of the wonderful talent we are proud to nurture at Barnfield and I hope it will inspire other people to use their skills to achieve their dreams.”
The Festival of Art Exhibition at Harpenden Hair Training Academy, High Street, Harpenden is open every weekday from 10am until 4pm during the summer holidays. Entry is free. Details: 01582 569569, www.barnfield.ac.uk
