The Dedication and spirit of The British Indian Army is being celebrated in a touring exhibition that calls in at Watford Central Leisure Centre this week.
Exhibition Islam and the Shared War Project co-host this groundbreaking show which honours the courage and bravery shown by more than four million Indian volunteers during the two world wars.
Curator Jahan Mahmood is a researcher and historian who lectures at Birmingham University and has more than 90 images for this exhibition. He regularly presents workshops tackling radicalism and aiding the construction of a British Muslim identity.
The free exhibition runs from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, January 22 and Sunday, January 23 at Watford Central Leisure Centre, Peace Prospect, Watford.
