The opening date for a new Lidl store creating up to 40 jobs in Hemel Hempstead has been confirmed.
Lidl’s newest store will open in Jarman Fields Retail Park on Thursday, November 28, the brand has announced this morning.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 8am, attended by Dacorum mayor Brenda Link, and complementary food sampling will be on offer across the opening weekend.
Lidl GB regional head of property Jason Buckley said: “We are thrilled to be opening our first-ever store in Hemel Hempstead, especially as demand for our affordable products continues to grow throughout the country.
“This new store has created a host of high-paying jobs for locals, while enhancing access to our high-quality, affordable products.

“We would like to thank all those who have played a part in delivering this new store and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors in the coming weeks.”
The location will be open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
With a 1,516-square-metre sales area, around the size of a hockey rink, it promises all the discount food and drink customers expect as well as its bakery offering, middle-aisle products, “ample” parking for cars and bikes, and customer toilets with baby changing facilities.
