The best things to do with the kids on a rainy day in Watford

Atria Watford

One local suggested that atria Watford is the best place to go when it's a rainy day, sharing that it has everything you need.

Explaining that the atria has an indoor climbing centre, cinema, bowling alley and much more like indoor mini golf at Puttshack and escape rooms at Escape Hunt.

Along with all its entertainment and leisure offerings, the atria also has lots of shops for fashion, beauty, electronics and more.

One guest on Tripadvisor said: "Love this shopping mall which offers you food, clothes, entertainment, luxury stuff and the lot more from well-known brands. There are many brand stores as well as cinemas and eateries."

Parents Paradise

Nearby to the atria is Parents Paradise, an indoor play centre that offers a space for children up to the age of 12 to play.

The family-run business has a choice of play areas including play frames, a baby play and sensory area, a go-karting track, a football penalty shooting area, a ride-on-the-machine and interactive play areas.

To keep the parents happy, the indoor play area has sofas, free wi-fi and great coffee available.

One guest said: "10/10 would recommend. Decent food. Clean. Lots to do. Friendly staff. Nice price. Definitely worth a visit."

Watford Library

Another suggestion for a rainy day activity was a trip to the library which hosts regular events and is a must for children who love to read.

Libraries across the region also regularly host LEGO Club for Children, that are hosted to help improve "problem-solving, spatial awareness and creative thinking."

Along with the LEGO club, there are also regular story times and Baby Rhyme Time which is a "half-hour sessions of songs and rhymes are perfect for helping your child to learn language skills and are a great opportunity for you to meet other families too."
