Chipperfield's annual firework display has been axed, just weeks after neighbouring Kings Langley also cancelled its event.
The village display was set to make a return this year for the first time since 2019, having been put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A date and venue had been set, with the festivities planned to take place on Saturday, November 9 on Chipperfied Common.
But, earlier this week the Facebook page for the event appeared to be deleted, with residents beginning to fear for its future.
Several residents claimed the display had been axed, before long-time St Paul's Church Warden Ann Waine confirmed the news.
No reason has been given as yet for the cancellation, although an earlier advertisement for the event had stressed that it was subject to license approval.
The disappointing news is a further blow to firework lovers in the area, after the "hugely popular" Kings Langley display was cancelled earlier this month, with the parish council citing the withdrawal of a major sponsor as the reason.
Those looking to get their firework fix will be able to attend the display in nearby Sarratt, with an event to be held at the Cock Inn on November 5.
