A new restaurant has opened in Rickmansworth promising customers a meal that "feels like a sunny escape to the Mediterranean coast".

EyZey Bistro has recently opened at 153-155A in Uxbridge Road, replacing the Punto Italian eatery that closed earlier this year.

"We aim to bring a blend of classic and unique recipes that highlight quality ingredients and vibrant flavours."

"Our opening has been fantastic, and we’re grateful for the community’s support as we settle in and get to know our guests."

The menu includes a range of dishes from main meals and pasta to wraps, sandwiches and breakfast options.

Notable items include marinated butterfly chicken, grilled kofte and smoked salmon sandwiches.

In a post on social media earlier this week the bistro set out its stall, promising to become customers favourite spot for Mediterranean food.

The post reads: "From fresh salads to mouth watering mains, our menu is crafted with love and the finest ingredients. Come join us for a meal that feels like a sunny escape to the Mediterranean coast!"

Several restaurant's have closed down in recent times amid ongoing economic struggles, with the Zaza branch in the High Street being the most recent to go.

The arrival of EyZey Bistro bucks this recent trend, with residents responding warmly on social media to news of its opening.

The bistro is open from 8am to 5pm, seven days a week.
