Many locals praised local spot Simba Bru Coffee Roasters on Sutton Road who share that they "take pride in roasting and preparing all of" their coffees.

Serving "the finest coffee from various corners of the globe", one regular to Simba Bru took to the review site Tripadvisor to share: "Great ambience and excellent coffee. Friendly welcoming staff. Decent variety to go with a nice hot drink."

The LP Cafe

Another coffee spot raved by locals was The LP Cafe on The Parade which puts a spin on the typical coffee shop.

LP Cafe is an "independent record cafe" that lets you browse vinyl, serves coffee and often hosts intimate concerts.

The coffee spot serves coffee which they believe should be an "epic event for the senses which is why we source fresh beans from specialist roasters Climpson and Sons."

With a 4.5/5 Tripadvisor rating, one guest said: "The best tea & coffee in town, no contest. Lovely fresh food, cakes and pastries, Excellent choice of vinyl records both new and 2nd hand and a fantastic bunch working here."

Ocean Bells

Watford locals gave lots of love to Ocean Bells as one described the staff as "stars".

Ocean Bells on the High Street is self-described as "your local artisan coffee shop" serving the likes of a classic espresso, long black, cortado or a piccolo.

They also offer seasonal specials, including a peanut butter hot chocolate, Biscoff Latte and even a Nutella latte in a Nutella jar.

On Tripadvisor, one Watford local said: "Lovely calm ambience, delicious aromas of coffee on arrival, well balanced and flavourful flat white which was well received. Overall, the best coffee."

Eats & Treats

Also well-praised was Eats & Treats, a cafe on St Albans Road that is self-described as a "highly rated sandwich shop known for its wide variety of offerings".

"I still think it's the best place to get a bacon sandwich in Watford. However they offer some much more, the coffee is great, the choice of cakes is fantastic.
