Gail's has officially arrived in Watford, with the popular bakery chain opening the doors to its new High Street store.
The rapidly expanding company submitted plans to enter the town back in August, taking over the unit at 70 High Street, formerly occupied by Diva and Moss Bros.
Opening yesterday morning, Gail's will now bring its artisan sourdough breads, pastries, sandwiches, and cakes to the town.
The new bakery will (according to the floorplans submitted to Watford Borough Council) be able to seat 18 customers indoors at any one time.
After plans to open were confirmed, residents were eagerly anticipating a confirmed date, with the bakery initially remaining tight-lipped, promising only to arrive before November.

Last week the chain revealed its official opening date, writing on its website: "We will open our neighbourhood bakery in Watford on October 24, 2024.
“Serving Gail's artisan sourdough breads, pastries, sandwiches, and cakes alongside our specialty house blend coffee.”
Beaming staff were pictured outside the shop on opening day, with the bakery likely to be a hit with residents.
Gail's already has several bakeries in Hertfordshire, with sites in St Albans, Harpenden and Radlett.
The chain has also confirmed this week that it will open a bakery in Hitchin next month.
