Watford has once again missed out as a popular lifestyle publication revealed its best places to live, although a neighbouring village made the cut.
Muddy Stilettos has launched its 2025 list of the 300 best places to live in the UK, with Kings Langley among the areas included.

The town is included on the list, with Watford snubbed for a second straight year.
The other Hertfordshire towns and cities included are Bishop's Stortford, Broxbourne, Harpenden, Hertford, Hitchin, Royston, St Albans and Welwyn Garden City.
Revealing why Kings Langley made the list, the publication said: "In a prime spot, the village of Kings Langley is nestled comfortably between Hemel Hempstead and Watford in the Gade Valley, alongside the Grand Union Canal and the M1, whilst also being just a stone’s throw from St Albans and only 20 miles from London."
Praise was also given to the range of eateries in the village, with High Street coffee shop Fred and Ginger and 'deli-come-wine-bar' Dalling and Co among those singled out for praise.
Muddy Stilettos is described as “the urban guide to the countryside” which might disadvantage the more urban Watford against the competition.
