ITV bosses have confirmed that filming has taken place in Bushey for an upcoming series of Grantchester.

The popular period drama cast filmed in the town yesterday (October 16), with production taking place near the pond in the High Street.

A spokesperson for ITV confirmed to the Watford Observer that the filming was for the show, which has had eight series, with a ninth due to air next year.

However, fans in the area may have to wait a while to see the pond scenes air, with ITV confirming that yesterday's filming was for series 10 - unlikely to hit the screens before 2026.

Its not the first time that Grantchester has shot scenes in the area, with filming taking place at the former Rudolf Steiner School in Kings Langley back in 2021.

Filming has also previously taken place in Hemel Hempstead.

Hertfordshire has become a popular filming location for Grantchester, due to its close proximity to Cambridgeshire, where the show is set.

This latest filming is the latest in a string of recent productions to come to the area, with Hollywood A-listers among those spotted over the last several weeks.
