An exhibition showcasing the 'Magic of Cassiobury' is set to be unveiled at Watford Palace Theatre.
The collection of works was created during three workshops earlier this year, combining writing and art to capture the essence of Cassiobury Park, past, present, and future.
The Watford Area Arts Forum, an umbrella group supporting all arts in the area for more than 20 years, ran the workshops funded by Watford Borough Council's Neighbourhood Grant scheme.
The workshops took place at Cassiobury Farm and Fisheries.
Mixed media artist and tutor, Sian Fenwick, taught participants to produce artwork using collage, stitching, appliqué, and decoupage.
Creative writing tutor, Helen Nicell, guided the groups to create individual or collective pieces of writing inspired by Cassiobury Park.
Poet Jan Rees collaborated with the 'Postcards from Cassiobury' group to produce a poem reflecting the park's history since Tudor times.
The exhibition features work from three workshops: 'Postcards from Cassiobury', 'Cassiobury Trees', and 'Save Our Park'.
These are represented in both art and writing.
The exhibition will be hosted in Tip’s Bar on the first floor of Watford Palace Theatre.
It will be open from tomorrow (Thursday) to October 19, from 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
Entry is free, and visitors are encouraged to enjoy a coffee at the theatre café while viewing the exhibition.
