A much-loved village pub has been taken on by new management, with a grand reopening party set to take place this weekend.
The Windmill in Chipperfield has a new landlady, Sue Adams, who has taken over from David Clark after he recently retired following 23 years at the helm.
The 19th century boozer, based in The Common, offers classic pub dishes and a range of cask ales to cater to residents as well as walkers, cyclists, and tourists.

Having been closed this week for renovations, it will reopen with a soft launch on Thursday before Saturday's official reopening party at 12pm - which has been billed as an "unforgettable celebration" with live music.
In a social media post, a pub spokesperson said: "Sue and the team can’t wait to welcome you all. We’ll have live music throughout the day, from our very own Declan Ryan!
"The drinks will be chilled, the atmosphere will be amazing, so get those dancing shoes on and meet us at the bar!"
The pub can seat 40 people and has car parking space for 12 vehicles.
