A museum is keen to add some new blood to its corp of volunteers.
Bushey Museum and Art Gallery, in Rudolph Road, would welcome new volunteers of any age, with or without experience of museum work who can be trained if necessary.
You may have an interest in art, be able to offer some PC expertise or financial skills, have an education background and are used to working with school groups or even be willing to climb up ladders to hang pictures.
The museum is holding an evening for its current volunteers on Thursday, October 10 at 6.30pm and trustee and joint shop manager Barry Hyman said: “We would love to see anyone else who might be interested in joining Bushey’s jewel in the crown.”
The museum was founded more than 30 years ago thanks to the efforts of the late Bryen Wood who persuaded local authorities to allow the use of the former Bushey Urban District Council offices.
Many original volunteers are still active at the museum but new ones are needed.
Anyone interested can contact busmt@busheymuseum.org or visit the volunteers evening at the museum on October 10.
