A pub company has shared an update following the sudden closure of one of its locations.
The pints have stopped flowing at The Western, near the M&S in Rickmansworth High Street, since it shut down without warning yesterday (October 1).
Initially, a message was added to the website confirming that it had closed "at short notice" and stating that it hoped to back up and running “soon”.

This has since been replaced with a new notice which adds that “we hope to be back serving our community from 5pm, Thursday October 3”.
The venue is owned by Punch Pubs & Co and is understood to have been run by a self-employed manager.
Further update: Punch Pubs Operations Manager Ryan Bridge said: “We want to thank the community for their support during the temporary period of closure at The Western pub in Rickmansworth.
"Unfortunately, the management partner made the personal decision to leave the pub business this week.
"I am pleased to confirm that The Western will reopen under new management on Thursday, October 3, and together with the team we are looking forward to welcoming back guests old and new to help ensure the long-term success of this fantastic pub.”
