Some Watford locals - who may or may not have had a drink or 10 - have again reported seeing a vampire in Watford.

Bizarre posts on the social media site Reddit have re-emerged after the hashtag #WatfordVampire previously garnered over 200 posts and comments about blood-suckers walking among us.

Full disclosure: we do not believe in vampires, but we found the sheer wackiness amusing and thought we'd bring a smile to your weekend.

One brave soul shared how they saw it in the pub, describing it as having "long white-blonde hair, a slightly pointed nose, and looked like a guy in his early 30s. His voice was smooth and hypnotic, and he had some sort of European accent."

They add that they never mentioned their name and that at night, they had a dream about the vampire: "That night I dreamt of him along the dark corridors, the whispering voices, everything so vivid. I woke up with such a huge desire to take a walk and found myself that evening at the cemetery on Vicarage Road. It was very dark, but luckily not so cold out, yet somehow I felt compelled to go there."

They go on to say how they saw the vampire inside the cemetery: "He just stood there as if standing in a cemetery at midnight is the most normal thing in the world."

Another post, from around a month ago, saw one Reddit user share how they work "close by to the cemetery doing overnight security".

The security guard writes: "I know who you're talking about. We see him every now and then."

In the various posts, believers say sightings date back to the 1980s with some even saying they have photos of the not-so-likely Dracula.

The most recent 'encounter' is from September 6, as one Reddit user said they saw the vampire on Blackmoor Lane. He was apparently "wearing some kinda longish black coat".

The user added that they claimed to have spoken to the 'vampire' who had a possibly "French accent", however, they did not remember the conversation.

One more post reflects on an encounter nearly 30 years ago in 1995, sharing that they had snuck into Vicarage Road cemetery.

The Reddit user shared: "We saw human-shaped white forms kind of dancing on graves, not every grave, but a few of them had these faceless, glowing white things hanging over them.

"As for your vampire, I think he would have killed you or turned you if he was real."
