A Bushey events venue is “absolutely delighted” after it was named among the best businesses in Hertfordshire at a prestigious awards ceremony.
Metropolitan Bushey was awarded the 'Hospitality Business of the Year' title at the SME Hertfordshire Awards 2024, which was held at Pendley Manor in Tring last Friday (September 20).
The awards by the Watford and West Herts Chamber of Commerce recognise the best small and medium-sized businesses in various categories, and the hospitality category shines a light on “exceptional” examples in the catering industry.
Managing director David Rees said: "The whole team at Metropolitan Bushey are absolutely delighted to have won this award.

“This is a huge thank you to our current and past team members, and we aim to continue working hard to improve every single part of our not-for-profit business, both to encourage more Metropolitan Police users, but also make our facilities available to the wider community.”
David added: “Winning this prestigious award highlights our commitment to providing exceptional service, innovative event offerings, and a warm, welcoming place for everyone who visits us, whether for business, leisure, or sports."
The sports club and venue, which was founded in 1967, features 36 acres of sports grounds, Monty’s Bar and Kitchen serving hot meals and afternoon tea, a gym, and various-sized event spaces for hire.
