A festival to celebrate Black History Month will take place in Watford later this month.
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) is hosting the community event on Sunday, September 29, at Stanborough Park from 12pm to 4pm.
The family-friendly festival will transform the park into a hub of African and Caribbean heritage.
Visitors can expect dance performances, keynote speakers, and a variety of food.
There will also be craft displays showcasing cultural traditions.
There will be entertainment for children, with activities including a bouncy castle, face painting, and ice-creams.
A spokesperson for HCT said: "HCT’s community festival is about more than celebration but also about building a healthier, more connected community."
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet NHS healthcare providers offering free health checks, engage with community organisations "dedicated to wellbeing", and discover a wealth of healthcare services available through HCT, the wider NHS, and other health and care support services.
The event is part of HCT's initiative to promote essential health checks and healthcare services, reach underserved community groups, and tackle health inequalities.
A spokesperson for HCT added: "People are invited to attend to connect, learn, and take charge of their health in a fun, inclusive environment.
"Don't miss this event that brings together Black culture, family entertainment, and community health initiatives.
"Everyone is invited to join us at Stanborough Park for a day that promises to educate, inspire, and unite."
