A national pub chain has responded to footage showing a mouse under the table of a Watford town centre boozer.
In the clip posted online on Saturday (September 14), the rodent can be seen on The Moon Under Water's carpet in High Street.
X user BEN0L3ARY jokingly said "Stuart Little" was at the pub, in reference to the 1999 film about a mouse who lives with a human family.

In response, JD Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “The sighting was immediately reported to the company’s pest control consultants and appropriate measures have been implemented, which include sealing potential entry points to the pub.
"We believe that the measures taken will result in no further issues.

- Watford takeaway hit with 1/5 food hygiene rating
“The pub was awarded the maximum food hygiene rating of 5/5 by the local authority on August 19 which shows the excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene in place.”
When Watford Borough Council inspectors visited the pub last month, they judged the cleanliness and condition of its facilities, including pest control, to be ‘good’.
The pub’s food handling and management of food safety were also considered given the same rating.
