The Golden Lion

One very popular pub was The Golden Lion, praised for being a "good friendly pub with characters. Great landlord and staff. Beer garden and car park. Music, discos, sport on the 5 TVs, BBQs and other events."

The Golden Lion is described as offering a "warm welcome and family-friendly atmosphere" along with a "selection of beer, cider, wine and cocktails and a brilliant choice of low or no alcohol options".

The Wellington Arms

Another pub that plenty of locals mentioned was The Wellington Arms. One Tripadvisor reviewer described it as a "cosy" pub with a "vibe that felt more for regular locals".

The Royal Oak

The Royal Oak was very popular response, with the pub offering a traditional pub setting with a modern menu that caters for everyone.

It has a 4/5 Tripadvisor rating and one guest highly recommends the delicious mutton curry and praised the friendly staff.

Creative Juices Brewing Company

Neighbouring Watford is the Creative Juices Brewing Company in Rickmansworth, which was given a number of special nods by locals.

Although not technically a pub, the company does have a taproom that opened back in 2019 and prides itself on "being a relaxed and welcoming establishment".
