A Watford salon said it is “absolutely thrilled” after it was named Watford Observer readers’ favourite.
LALA Hair Salon in Asda has been awarded ‘Your Favourite Hair Salon 2024’ in our annual competition highlighting notable businesses around the town.
The unisex salon has been a part of the community for 15 years, and six months ago it came under the ownership of two friends, Laura and Monika.
They said: “We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have won! It’s an incredible feeling to be recognized as the favourite place for cuts, colours, and blow-dries.
“Our team is overjoyed, and it’s a testament to the hard work and passion we put into making every client feel their best."
LALA is among the highest rated hair salons in Watford according to Google Reviews with an average score of 4.9 stars based on 69 reviews.
One LALA customer praised its “warm and inviting atmosphere” and “attentive" staff.

Laura said she was “incredibly grateful” to her clients and staff, adding: “Their encouragement and loyalty have been invaluable, and I will always appreciate their positivity every step of the way.”
Co-owner Monika was “honoured” to be recognised and has had a “wonderful experience” during her time running the salon.
“It’s an amazing feeling to know we have such a dedicated team,” she added. “We truly could not imagine LALA Hair Salon without each and every one of them.
“Our main goal is to keep delivering the best service for our clients while maintaining our sanity and friendship.
“We’re committed to staying on top of the latest trends and treatments so you always get the best care possible."
'Your Favourites' is an annual competition run by the Watford Observer which asks reader to vote for their treasured local businesses.
Anytime Fitness Bushey has already won the award in the gym category this year, while Ocean’s Pearl in Garston said it was "delighted" to be named readers' favourite fish and chip shops in September.
