Photos have given a behind-the-scenes look at a popular children’s TV show which was filmed at studios in Hertfordshire.
The Tweenies are celebrating 25 years since the show was first broadcast in September 1999 as they reunited for a special YouTube video as well as an episode on the nostalgia podcast Be My Guest: Blasts From The Past In A Podcast.
Almost 400 episodes of the show were filmed at Elstree Film Studios featuring preschool-aged characters Bella, Milo, Fizz and Jake.
In a special message, Max and and Max, both played by Bob Golding, shared a special message:
Max said “I can’t believe it Milo,” to which Milo replied: “What can’t you believe Max?”
“I can’t believe it has been 25 years, as I’m only 33!” he joked.
Photos shared for the anniversary also show the actors and cast rehearsing and posing in their iconic brightly-coloured costumes.
Fans of the show shared their memories online, with one commenting: “My childhood. Happy anniversary Tweenies!”
Another called for the BBC to “see sense and add the show to iPlayer!” while a third added: “I used to watch this show growing up and it was my favourite show!”
