Signs show that a new takeaway is opening at a former fish and chip shop in Watford “soon”.
The Micky’s Fish & Chips unit at 126B Leavesden Road, near the junction with Judge Street, has been repainted and decorated with signs for a business called ‘Sizzlezzz’.
The takeaway does not appear to have an online presence but signs say it will serve burgers, fish and chips, and kebabs.

A banner hung in the window adds that it is “opening soon”.
The unit’s planning history shows that it has been a fish and chips shop since at least 1979.
The former Ebb Tide fish and chip shop unit in Market Street has also been taken over by a new business. It closed in July last year, having operated in the town for more than 50 years, before Portuguese restaurant Taberna opened during the same month this year.
