North Watford residents have been warned to expect fake guns, uniformed police officers and emergency service vehicles as a popular BBC drama is filming today at a local school.

Silent Witness has taken over Parkgate Junior School in Southwold Road for the next few days in preparation for season 28, which is set to air in January 2025.

The BBC sent out a letter warning that filming for the crime drama will take place today (August 23), Tuesday (August 27) and Wednesday (August 28) between 7.30am to 5.30pm.

The scenes were filmed in the town centre road in May last year, including inside Jenny’s Café and Oana Hair Studio, as well as at the Building Research Establishment estate in Garston for filming in September, 2023.
