After months of waiting, B&M has finally confirmed the opening date for its new shop in the former John Lewis unit.
Hoarding marked “coming soon” appeared on part of atria Watford's lower mall level in March, but the discount chain has kept quiet on when it plans to open until now.
B&M has announced that the new shop will officially launch at 8am on Thursday, September 5, joining its existing store in High Street.
There were signs the business was working towards the launch when it applied for a premises licence in early August, which would allow it to sell alcohol at the branch.
B&M is one of the last businesses to move into the John Lewis unit, which was divided up after the department store shut its doors in 2020 during the pandemic.
Poundland, Dunelm, Peacocks, and Choice have all already opened, while it was recently revealed that Flip Out will convert the 33,000 square foot basement space into a huge indoor adventure park which will open later this year.
