There is still time to visit an art exhibition that aims to showcase the beauty in the buildings and structures in Watford.
Artist Fran Kershaw’s 100 Views of Watford is currently on show at Cheslyn House and Gardens in Nascot Wood Road, Watford.
As a resident of Watford for the past 20 years, Fran's work has been heavily influenced by the town and her desire to interpret its built environment in a way accessible to everyone.
Her paintings are centred on the "spaces of the everyday", challenging the tendency to overlook the beauty in the familiar.
Inspired by the works of Japanese printmaker Hiroshige and the American ‘Pop’ artist Andy Warhol, Fran’s works draw on the ultrastructured compositions and restricted palette of the screen printing and woodblock processes.
A celebration of the visual environment, the exhibition invites visitors to experience these spaces in a new way and rediscover the beauty in the banal.
100 Views of Watford is open daily from 10am to 4pm at Cheslyn House and runs until September 1.
