A “popular local hub” pub will reopen in the coming weeks after being closed for months, its owner has announced.
The Halfway House, Rickmansworth, shut earlier this year before an advert appeared online as part of a Stonegate Pub Company search for a new operator to take it over.
It revealed that work was underway to get the pub back open, including redecoration and new carpets, but the brand has now confirmed more information including that a future operator is in place.

Yesterday (August 20), a spokesperson said: “The Halfway House is currently closed whilst some essential maintenance works take place.
“The popular local hub has a new publican in place who is ready to take on the site and welcome back the local community in the coming weeks.”
Stonegate has described the Uxbridge Road pub as a “fantastic opportunity” with a strong reputation for live music events, “beautiful" beer garden, and an established local following.
Once reopened, it says it wants to expand the food offering to attract new customers.
Financial details shared as part of the listing for a new operator forecast a £612,919 annual turnover.
