July was big for food and drink businesses in Watford, with these four openings taking place over the course of the the month.
From cafés to bars and from burgers to Greek cuisine, diners in the town now have some new offerings to choose from.
The Watford Observer has rounded up the latest places to grab a bite to eat in the town from the past month.
Bla Bla Café
Bla Bla Café opened at the bottom of The Clarendon Works on July 15 and has been serving office workers, there as well as the wider public, ever since.
It prides itself on friendly service and sustainability, offering its own blend of coffee and only using plant-based or 100 per cent recyclable packaging.
The wide-ranging menu includes drinks, breakfasts, pastries, and lunches.
Cheatmeals
Opening at the corner of Market Street and Exchange Road on July 18, Cheatmeals aims to serve “high-quality fast-food” and its menu features burgers, hotdogs, chicken wings and milkshakes.
The brand, which says its organic offerings can be enjoyed as an affordable “cheat meal” as part of a healthy diet, transformed a unit that had previously been occupied by Full Stop Aesthetics.
Popeyes
Popeyes brought its Louisiana-style burgers, wings, tenders, and more to atria Watford’s former Grounded Kitchen unit on July 19.
After a small setback when it had to close less due to flooding less than two weeks after opening, it is back to serving shoppers.
Jardin
Mexican bar and restaurant Jardin opened in the former Colombia Press unit in The Parade on July 10, serving authentic Mexican dishes and mezcal cocktails.
Later in the evening, visitors are able able to enjoy a DJ booth and dance floor at the back of the bar.
