An iconic noughties pop singer will take to the stage later this month as Hertfordshire’s annual LGBTQ+ event returns to Watford.
Herts Pride 2024 is coming to Cassiobury Park on Saturday, August 31, with the theme of "Reflections of a Rainbow", which organisers said symbolised the “diversity and unity within our vibrant community”.
The 12th edition of the event will see 2002 Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates headline the mainstage, alongside singer Angie Brown, known for her 1992 hit I’m Gonna Get You.
A Herts Pride spokesperson said: “Hertfordshire is truly a county of opportunity, where LGBTQ+ individuals and straight allies unite to celebrate love, acceptance and equality.
“This event stands as a testament to the progress we've made and the bright future we continue to build together.”

The Herts Pride Dog Show will see local pooches “strut their stuff”, while an outdoor market will offer a variety of food caterers and stalls selling unique items.
Tickets are available online at www.hertspride.org and cost £12 for adults and £8 for young people aged 13-17.
