Watford food has impressed top judges with six businesses recognised through a prestigious award.

Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards 2024 recognise the best food and drink on offer, with a panel made up of over 500 industry experts blind-tasting entries from more than 3,500 companies over 92 judging days.

Winners are divided into products, producers, and retailers and each receive a one-, two-, or three-star accolade as a seal of approval from the “world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme”.

Less than two per cent of all entries were given three-star awards, meaning "extraordinarily tasty food and drink", and just ten per cent received two stars, "above and beyond delicious.

All of the Watford food producers recognised received one star, meaning they were "food and drink that deliver fantastic flavour".
