One recent customer who tried the Kings & Crowns Sunday roast said: "Me and my partner came in earlier for a roast as all we've heard about them are they are the best in the area.
"The food was incredible, I ordered the roast beef and my partner had the trio of roasts which were both amazing."
The King Stag
Location: 15 Bournehall Rd, Bushey WD23 3EH
The King Stag in Bushey is a "stylish gastropub" that showcases regional beers and serves a menu including modern British dishes.
The family-run pub shares that its ethos is "focus on locally sourced, high quality, fresh food and drink served in a friendly and professional way."
A regular of the King Stag gave the pub five stars on Google Reviews, sharing: "Have been going to the King Stag for many years and to be honest it is probably the best pub locally, food is brilliant and service excellent."
The Feathers
Location: 34 Church St, Rickmansworth WD3 1DJ
The Feathers is a traditional pub in Rickmansworth that has "warm wooded interiors, leather sofa, open fire and a beer garden" along with pub food.
With live music, the Rickmansworth pub is said to be a "big point of difference in a small community" adding that the building itself has been around for 500 years and is still standing.
One fan of the pub said: "5 stars not enough for the food or the excellent friendly staff. It does get very busy so advise to book. I had 2 small plate dishes excellent can’t wait to return."
The Artichoke
Location: The Grn, Green Ln, Watford, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth WD3 3HN
The Artichoke in the small village of Croxley Green is a stylish contemporary pub that overlooks the village green and serves classic British cuisine as well as great ales.
Built back in the 17th century, The Artichoke is a small independent family-run business that shares its "proud to be the custodians of such a historic & focal point" in the community.
One local who recently enjoyed a Sunday roast at the pub said: "Had a fabulous roast today! The beef was delicious and the veg was crunchy. Great service and a warm welcome from our host Rose. Will definitely visit again."
The Royal Oak
Location: Kitters Green, Abbots Langley WD5 0ET
The Royal Oak in Abbots Langley is a traditional casual pub with a garden, kid's play area and serves British dishes, wine and ales.
On their website, The Royal Oak shares: "With two lovely gardens, our family-friendly venue is perfect for everyone. We offer real ales, proper pub food, and a spacious restaurant ideal for any meal."
