Eight Bushey eateries currently hold a 2/5 food hygiene rating - meaning inspectors have told them improvement is needed.

Over half of the area's 142 establishments are rated 5/5 and none have been told they need 'major' or 'urgent' improvement, according to the Food Standards Agency.

But eight, including a High Street Mediterranean restaurant and a popular sports club, are currently rated 2/5 by Hertsmere Borough Council.

Update: Metropolitan Bushey is now rated 5/5 after an inspection on July 10.

Most scores came from inspections last year, meaning although things could have changed since then, they have not had re-inspections to confirm if that is the case. Re-assessments can be requested after three months.
