The owner of a new store in Watford said he is “excited” to start selling fresh food as local eateries have already shown an interest.
Hausar Azizi, known as Tony, is behind the Watford Fresh Fish and Meat shop which is due to open in Market Street in mid-August.
The joint butchers and fishmongers will be the 32-year-old’s first business and will launch in what used to be the Wacky Barbers from 1994 until earlier this year.
Tony said: “People have already started asking when are we going to open and I have a few restaurants who would like to order, so I’m excited to open as soon as we can.”
The shop owner, who lives in Harringay with his wife and two children, said he goes to Billingsgate Market in London every two days to find the best products.

“I have nine years of customer service so I always try to make them happy and give them my best,” he added. “Even the customers who are not so nice, I am nice to them!”
The owner urged residents to try out his shop for a wider range of meat and fish than is available at supermarkets.
The shopfront has already been completed and Tony is working on finalising the interior before the launch in around three weeks.
