A new Indian restaurant claiming to offer the "most authentic food in Watford" will officially open next week.
India Rasoi, in Main Parade in Chorleywood, will serve its first customers a menu of dishes from across the diverse regions of India on August 1.
The manager, Kashik Patel, explained how one of the owners has been a regular visitor at the village’s cricket club but could not find a restaurant to visit for his favourite meals after a match.

The owner therefore saw an opportunity to open his own in the area - and he is hoping other residents and visitors feel the same way.
Mr Patel claimed that India Rasoi will be setting itself apart by offering a truer representation of traditional Indian food than is offered anywhere else in the Watford area.
He added: “We are pure authentic Indian food. We are providing the pure authentic taste of India, especially the south Indian rice called Biryani.
“The chefs and staff all have more than seven years’ experience.”
Three Rivers District Council chair Raj Khiroya will formally open the restaurant at 11am. It will serve food to eat in, take away, and for delivery - Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm to 3pm and 5pm to 11pm.
