Residents have suggested an Indian restaurant could replace a former Watford takeaway after its shopfront was given a new look.
Valley Pizza's façade in St Albans Road has been repainted and a 'Tawa Restaurant' sign installed - with pictures online fuelling speculation over what it will become.
One suggested that it could be an Indian restaurant as a “tawa” is an iron pan used for cooking flatbreads in south Asian cuisine.
There currently appears to be no website or contact details for a 'Tawa Restaurant' in Watford.
Valley Pizza was a takeaway between Rosanna's Florist and Brim Burger from 2019 until it shut around three months ago.

Former steakhouse owner sold horse meat and venison as zebra and wildebeest
It had a 2.2-star Google rating based on 105 reviews, having served pizzas and sides like garlic bread and chicken wings.
It had replaced The Steakhouse, which purported to serve exotic meats such as zebra and wildebeest dishes.
The restaurant’s former owner, Kunal Soni of Belswains Lane in Hemel Hempstead, was fined £3,860.78 in 2015 after Hertfordshire County Council officers discovered he was serving horse meat and venison instead, while neither word appeared on the restaurant menu.
