Things are going to be getting a lot darker for visitors to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter in Leavesden later this year.
From September 13 to November 10, the Dark Arts feature at the popular attraction will include new and exciting elements as, for the first time ever, Dementors will appear unexpectedly in The Forbidden Forest.
But residents of Leavesden and beyond will not need to worry as fans will be able to banish them with The Patronus Charm, just like Harry Potter did in the films and, in the Creatures Workshop, visitors can learn more about the creation of Dementors by taking part in an interactive demonstration of the moulding process that is used to make these evil apparitions.
Back by popular demand, the iconic Great Hall set will once again have over 100 pumpkins magically floating above the Hogwarts house tables, with each Jack-o-Lantern’s expression uniquely carved by The Prop Making Department.
The Great Hall’s tables will be adorned with a festive Halloween feast of lollipops and red apples and the ghosts of Hogwarts will make an eerie appearance.
The fan-favourite Death Eater procession will also return to various parts of the Studio Tour, and when guests least expect it!
However, aspiring witches and wizards will get the chance to gain the skills to deal with that threat as they learn the duelling technique in The Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, coming face-to-face with Death Eaters and putting their wand skills to the test.
All the Dark Arts additions which will feature in the tour from September 13 are included in the admission price, although tickets must be booked in advance by visiting www.wbstudiotour.co.uk as they cannot be purchased at the attraction itself.
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour opened its doors in Leavesden in March 2012, and in the 12 years since 96% of the 46,000+ reviews on TripAdvisor have rated it as ‘Excellent’ or ‘Very Good’, as well as more than 80,000 4- or 5-star ratings on Google Reviews.
