Two Bushey businesses have partnered to bring the flavour of “one of the UK's best pizza places” to home cooks.

Vincenzo’s in Bushey High Street has attracted an online following that has brought “pizza tourists” from as far as the USA to try its offering.

It has now teamed up with Kick Foods to bring its Italian chilli oil to market for people to drizzle on their own pizzas, pasta, paninis or other dishes.

Founder Tom Vincent said: “We wanted to make a chilli oil that packs a punch and keeps it old-school, so we tried chillies from Calabria, Salerno, and other spots in southern Italy.

“We found the perfect heat and now I won’t eat pizza without it.”

Jars of Vincenzo’s Pizzaiolo's Peperoncino, made from Salerno ruby red chillis, sunflower oil, and olive oil, are available upon launch at DELLI, eatkickfoods.com, and from the Vincenzo’s restaurant.

Kick Foods was founded by Nihal Haria-Shah, his cousin Veeraj Haria-Shah, and Anton Webb, who are all “pizza fanatics” from Bushey.

Nihal said: “Vincenzo’s Pizza is notorious for making the best NY pies this side of the Brooklyn Bridge and together we’ve perfected a peperoncino, made to accompany every fold and bite.

“We want to see this peperoncino everywhere.

“Wherever people eat pizza, they should be enjoying it with Vincenzo’s Pizzaiolo’s Peperoncino.

"Born and bred in Bushey we’re stoked to be teaming up with Tom and making this happen.”

Following the launch this week, the goal is now to get Vincenzo’s flavours in supermarkets, convenience stores and restaurants.
